Young pianist/composer JEF NEVE' s latest album is getting fantastic response and he is currently composing for his new trio cd to come out end 2012, as well as working on his 2nd Piano Concerto which will be premixed in October 2012. It is very exceptional that a jazz trio draws so much public: the release concerts of the album "IMAGINARY ROAD" (Universal/Emarcy) in 5 main venues in Belgium with average of 700 to 800 people were a huge success. The Brussels 'Ancienne Belgique' was sold out two weeks beforehand, received a 4-star review in newspaper De Morgen, and they sold over hundred cd's after each date. Also in Holland, Amsterdam 'Bimhuis' two standing ovations, as well as in Rotterdam, Utrecht, The Hague Festival, Schelde Jazz. For the release in France the Trio exceptionnallly played 3 nights at the 'Duc des Lombards' Paris for a full house, as well as in Germany at the Burghausen festival and in Trier. Last June the Trio performed 3 sold-out dates at the 'Cotton Club' Tokyo for the Japan release as well as two concerts in Osaka , and werereinvited again to Tokyo for concerts in September. In Canada and in during their tour in Australia they made many new fans. A review from their concert at Wangaratta Festival : the guy is unbelievable, as a self confessed atheist his concert was a religious experience... people were wandering around after his concert gobsmacked...after his first concert at Wangaratta all his CD's were sold out...the trio is a world class jazz act" (Brian Saxby reporting from the Wangaratta JF, 3 Nov 2010) Jef Neve also regularly gives Solo performances which reach a very broad audience.Live at the VRT-TVShow 'De Zevende Dag': ;feature=related
