Road Gang

Road Gang are back at Whispers playing their

mix of rocking country music, laid back blues,

rockabilly and classic fifties rock and roll. The

band has recently been in the recording studio

with a full band producing new original material

true to the style they love. The new songs

fit in perfectly with the music of great artists

like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Chuck Berry

and Fats Domino in the band's setlist. Road

Gang can be truly described as an international

act - the core band members all hailing

from different continents. Australian singer

guitarist, Michael Keoghan, grew up listening

to classic American country music and developed

a love of fifties rock n roll and rockabilly.

With a characterful deep voice, Michael is

perfectly suited to the story telling nature of

many of Road Gang’s songs. Hans Neiuwberg

is the lead guitarist and local Dutchmen of the

band. Hans is a vastly experienced musician,

and plays in a number of bands in the North

of the Netherlands. His soulful playing and

smooth backing vocals provide the heart of

Road Gang’s sound. Bass player Bernardo Garcia,

from Venezuala, lays down the foundation

for the band’s music and draws on his southamerican

upbringing with its latin and african

style rythyms to provide a rock solid base for

the band. Road Gang have a passion for uptempo

rocking music and they love sharing

it to create a great night for both themselves

and their audience.
